Rivotorto Piecesによる初めての個展「Passage of Paper Textile / 紙々の断章」を開催します。本展では、作家のふたりが幼少より恋い慕ってきた先人たちの名を冠した「紙のテキスタイル」作品群を展示販売します。聖人から絵本作家まで古今東西の25人に捧げられた「紙々の断章」には、こんな人たちが登場します。アッシジの聖フランチェスコ、須賀敦子、レオ・レオニと小島悳次郎、シャルトルのベルナルドゥス、ティントレット、ダンテ、ジョット、白井晟一、俵屋宗達、ウィリアム・モリス、エドゥアール・ヴュイヤール、ピエール・ボナール、ムンタネー、ミケランジェロ、ヘルメス、ディオティマ、バーバラ・サンソニ、エルジェ、吉野弘、ルソー、フリードリヒ２世、シモーヌ・ヴェイユ、アルド・マヌーツィオ、ピカソ、マスダジル洞窟にいた人。作品ごとにそれぞれの人との出会いを綴ったメッセージもなかなか。

Rivotorto Pieces is pleased to present its first solo exhibition, “Passage of Paper Textile”. The online exhibition will feature a series of paper textiles named after predecessors whom the two artists have loved and admired since childhood. From saints to picture book authors, 25 people from the East and the West appear in the “Passage of Paper Textiles” including Francesco d’Assisi, Atsuko Suga, Leo Leoni and Tokujiro Kojima, Bernard de Chartres, Tintoretto, Dante Alighieri, Giotto di Bondone, Chenichi Shirai, Sotatsu Tawaraya, William Morris, Édouard Vuillard, Pierre Bonnard, Lluís Domènech i Montaner, Michelangelo Buonarroti, Hermès, Diotima of Mantinea, Barbara Sansoni, Hergé, Hiroshi Yoshino, Henri Rousseau, Friedrich II, Simone Weil, Aldo Pio Manuzio, Pablo Picasso, and People who lived at the Mas d’Azil Cave. The message of artist’s with each work is also worth reading.
